This is a bright red Bakelite dress clip with very subtle swirls of cream noticeable on close inspection. It is constructed with a decided Deco design. The dress clip has a sturdy and tight clip which is shaped to fit the curve of the Bakelite pieces. The clip tests for Bakelite using Simichrome which turns a dark gold. It is in great vintage condition with some wear to the plating on the back of the clip not seen when worn.
